After graduating Biology in Philippines, I was accepted in a medical school… and therefore, I might have ended up as a medical doctor and not a scientist. However, I don’t really see myself as a doctor, I love working with experiments and doing science… and that’s why I am a scientist now.

Currently, if I can’t be a scientist, I probably pursue a career of engaging with young students and teaching them about science. And probably I would also do something like writing a script or be a creative writer of a sci-fi TV shows and movies.

Ultimately, my passion is on science. I love to talk about science, I love to let other know that science is cool and worth embracing.

If I couldn’t be a scientist, I would want to be a roller-coaster tester! HAHA. Not really but that would be awesome! When I was younger, I went through phases of wanting to be a vet (because I love animals so much), a doctor (so I could help people), a pilot (because my mum was an air-hostess), a palaeontologist (so I could dig up dinosaurs) and of course, a marine biologist! I definitely ended up making the right choice!

If I could be anything, I’d probably want to be a professional jazz musician… hopefully one that was good enough to get paid!

I’d like to do something creative like open a fabric shop or maybe a beach cafe 🙂
