To be a successful scientist. And I want to believe that every scientist dreams of achieving the prestigious award of Noble Prize.

Other than that, I want to really get my own lab (or a research institute), get to bring more scientists to work in the same field as well as opening the doors of science to more public and school kids, by engaging them to what we do and let them experience the fun of science.

Wow – amazing question. My life dream is to be happy with my life. I have a great husband who I love very much and I would like to bring up children and if I can combine that with a career in science where I change the world even a little bit then I will be happy! It’s greating being able to chat to you guys and I hope we excite you about science.

      Hi itch,

I agree with Harriet. My life dream is to be happy, to have a fulfilling and, most importantly, fun life.

There are lots of little dreams that would go into making this true.

I’d love to be successful enough as a scientist to be able to get a permanent job back home in Australia, so my wife and I can live close to our families. I’d love to be a musician in my spare time. I’d love to travel all over the world: see Africa, Asia and South America – and also see more of Australia. I’d love to have time to relax and read and look at or listen to beautiful things. And I’d love to live a life that doesn’t damage the planet we live in.

And I’d love to see “world peace”!! Okay, I admit it, I’m just being deliberately cheesy now… 😉 But the rest of the things I really am serious about.

      Cheers,
      Nathan.

      Hey itch and roopinderpadda,

      Life dreams……wow – big question!

Firstly as Nathan and Harriet have said – I want to life a happy and fulfilling life.

Secondly, I would love to be part of a team that makes an incredible scientific breakthrough. It would also be great if this breakthrough could be good for both humans and nature.

Thirdly, in science, you aren’t allowed to name species after yourself. Species tend to be either named after how they look, where they were discovered or after a famous scientist. I would LOVE to have a species named after me. Not only would it be awesome but it would also mean that I had to be a good enough scientist to be considered. It’s like ultimate compliment!
