      Hey xsanjidax,
I actually cant hold my breath for very long at all! Luckily for me to do my work in the sea, I dont have to! For shallow-water work, I can scuba dive so I use air tank to breathe. When using these, the length of time I can spend underwater depends on the depth which I am working at – for example – at 9 metres depth, I can spend an hour underwater but at 36 metres depth, I can only spend 15 minutes.
As most of my work is in the deep-sea (deeper than 1000 metres), it means that no human can dive down there as it is too dark, cold and the pressures too high. This means that we use special robots called ROVs, which stands for Remotely Operated Vehicles. There is a pic of one on my profile. They have lots of cameras so we can see live what is going on in the deep. They also have lots of instruments for taking measurements and arms which can collect samples and animals.
