Hi Shanehathaway,

I hope so. It all really depends on you guys, but I’m going to give it a damn good try.

The main reason I did I’m a Scientist was to get to take part and talk with all the young students. Before I left Australia, I used to do quite a lot of work talking about science with students of all ages and sometimes the general public too, but since I left, I’ve been moving from place to place and I haven’t had much chance to do any more of this sort of stuff. So I’d like to get as far as I can, because that means I get to be involved for longer.

Still, somewhere underneath I do have a bit of a competitive streak, so I’d certainly like to win and I’d like to think I can.

If you’d like me to go through, there’s something you (and all of the kids) could help me with too. On my profile, I’ve described two possible suggestions for the way I would spend the prize money, if I win. I’m keen to do both of these things, so rather than me picking one of them, since we’re doing I’m a Scientist, I thought I’d like to let you guys decide which way I should go. If you send me a message or write a comment in this post telling me which one you like the sound of, then at the end of the event, if I win, I will count up all of the preferences and do whichever one has the most votes.
