• Question: do you like tuna?

      I love tuna, especially fresh tuna with lots of lime juice. I do try and buy pole and line caught tuna as its less harmful to other sea-life

      I do like tuna, but I also like dolphins, so I also only try to eat tuna that is caught safely.

      Hey Katie,

      I’m a vegetarian and so I don’t eat any meat. To be honest though, when I was much younger and I still ate meat, I never used to like it.

      Most species of tuna are extremely overfished. It’s really important that if you do like tuna, you make sure and eat only pole and line caught tuna like what Angela says. Tuna that are caught by other methods like longlining and nets usually result in the unwanted death (called by-catch) of many other marine animals like dolphins, turtles, manta rays and many other types of fish. Also, don’t EVER eat Bluefin tuna. These are a special type of tuna which are the most endangered. As we marine biologists say, you wouldn’t eat a panda, so don’t eat Bluefin tuna!
